What you can write about

  • Report a calculator issue — a wrong result, broken input, or layout problem.
  • Request a calculator — a tool you'd like added to the library.
  • Suggest an improvement — a better explanation, a missing example, an extra option.
  • Privacy question — anything about what data the site does or does not collect.
  • General message — corrections to non-calculator content, partnerships, or a hello.

Reporting a calculator issue

To investigate quickly, please include:

  • The full calculator URL (e.g. /finance/cd-calculator).
  • The exact input values you used.
  • The result you got.
  • The result you expected, ideally with the source you compared against.
  • A screenshot, if you have one handy.

With those details we can usually reproduce the issue on the first try. Without them we may need to write back and ask, which slows everything down.

Requesting a new calculator

New calculators are prioritized when there's a clear formula, a real audience, and a way to verify the math. When you write in, please describe:

  • What the calculator should compute.
  • The inputs you'd expect to enter.
  • The formula or rule it should follow, with a source if you have one.
  • One or two example inputs and the expected outputs.

The roadmap focuses on calculators that are useful to many people and that aren't already well served by an existing tool on the site.

Suggestions and corrections

If you spot a typo, a confusing explanation, or a place where a worked example would help, send a note. Corrections to math or formulas are treated as priority items because they affect the accuracy of the result everyone sees.

For questions about what data the site collects, retention, or third-party tools, see the Privacy Policy first. If your question isn't answered there, write in and we'll respond.

Response expectations

We try to review messages as soon as possible. Calculator errors and privacy questions are triaged first. There is no guaranteed response time. If you don't hear back within a reasonable window, feel free to send the message again — email occasionally gets lost in spam filters.
