About math calculators
Math calculators handle the arithmetic so you can focus on understanding the result. Every tool in this section displays the formula, the variable definitions, and a step-by-step breakdown — including a deviation table for statistics tools — so you can verify the answer or learn the method.
The Standard Deviation calculator computes count, sum, mean, variance, sample and population standard deviation, min, max, and range for a list of numbers, with a per-value deviation table that shows how each data point contributes to the spread. More math and statistics calculators are planned for this category.
Use these tools for homework, lab data, sports analytics, or any decision that depends on summarizing a list of numbers.

Frequently asked questions
›Sample or population standard deviation — which do I use?
Use sample (n − 1) when your data is a sample from a larger group. Use population (n) only when you have literally every data point in the population.
›What number formats can I paste?
Numbers separated by commas, spaces, or new lines all work. Empty tokens and non-numeric text are ignored.
›Do you show the steps?
Yes. The Standard Deviation page shows the mean, each deviation, each squared deviation, the sum of squared deviations, the variance, and the square root that produces the SD.
›Are calculations done in my browser?
Yes. Everything runs locally; the numbers you paste never leave your device.
